Happy Is an Understatement
Background
The owner of a large Motorcycle/Power Tools/Ride-On mower dealer contacted us for security help. Located in regional Vic area where crime is rampant, they had lost over $200,000 worth of stock in a 5 minute robbery. They need our help to avoid this happening again and to satisfy their insurance company that they were taking the best measures possible to protect their business and their stock/assets.
Requirements
The site consists of three large areas, and they wanted a tailored security solution that would protect their assets and provide additional warning BEFORE an event occurs, in order prevent crimes.
Challenges
The first challenge was layout. With three large warehouse spaces, high ceilings and multiple entry and exit points, the security solution had to have the capacity and functionality to provide full coverage in each location.
The second challenge was response times. There are not as many guards and police operating in regional Victorian areas as in metropolitan locations, so response times can be slow.
The third challenge was budget. The costs relating to replacing stock, repairing damage, and rising insurance premiums meant that the budget was tight.
Solution
We put together a tailored solution which delivered the best outcome for protecting their staff, stock and premises, and meeting insurance and budgetary requirements.
We installed 5 URFOG Fog units from our Pump Pro Plus Range, including the largest fog machine available in Australia, our URFOG Pump Pro Plus 14000, URFOG Pump Pro Plus 6000, URFOG Pump Pro Plus 1500 and URFOG Pump Pro Plus 500. The URFog units require no clean up, leave no residue and do not require any action once they have fired.
We also increased perimeter protection with CCTV and Alarm Monitoring with AI Intrusion Protection. We programmed the system to detect human or vehicle activity in specific areas outside the building and activate an instant alarm and alert.
Outcome
Upon completion, we invited the client to experience the test firing of each unit to ensure they were happy with the result. Happy is an understatement. They saw immediately that each space had more than enough coverage to Protect, Reduce and Deter. In less then 30 seconds each space was impossible to navigate due to the density of the deployed fog.
Not only were they able to sleep easier, knowing their stock and assets were better protected; their insurance company was happy to continue coverage and lower their premiums.
